After spending seven years in the funky bagpipe band Morgaine
LeFay, founding member October Browne has stepped outside the Celtic
realm and released an album of her own original songs. The songs
range from catchy, melodic, Beatlesque grooves to haunting Hindu
chant. October's moving and expressive lyrics are rich with metaphor
and mystery.
This
debut album produced by Toronto keyboard player Evelyne Datl, featuring
talents such as Natalie McMaster, Ernie Tollar, and Colin Cripps
is already receiving critical acclaim among her peers, and is sure
to shine brightly in the Canadian music scene.
Galaxy
Radio's most played folk/roots album for September 2000!
